I bought my first camera when I was 16. I saved up the $9 an hour I was getting paid at a local bowling alley (still not sure if that was legal) and managed to scrape up enough for a DSLR.
Ever since then, it's been an avid hobby of mine, and I even pursued photography as a professional side hustle during 2020 -2021 as a club and events photographer.
Nowadays, it's taken a bit more of a backseat, but I still get called up to shoot events, portraits, and product photography every now and then.
